The 2022 legislative session in New Mexico is just around the corner! As we prepare to protect and advance civil liberties across the state, we are asking for your help to make that possible.

Join us on Wednesday, January 12 at 5:30 p.m. in Las Cruces for a Legislative Advocacy Training!

During the training, we will teach you how to have persuasive conversations with legislators, how the legislative process works, and how you can be a part of the legislative process to protecting and advancing civil liberties in New Mexico.

Do you want to join us in protecting freedom and advancing justice? Attend one of our three training events across the state!

Spanish language translation is available for this event!

We are making every effort to keep our community safe at this time. All attendees must wear masks and be fully vaccinated to attend. You will be asked to confirm your status before entering.

Shannon’s brother was sentenced to 30 years to life when he was just 16 years old for his involvement in the killing of their grandparents. For many years, Shannon refused to speak to her brother or his former friends, but now she is an advocate for second chances. Shannon wants to see legislation passed in New Mexico to give people sentenced as children who have grown and changed a chance to petition for early release.
