SANTA FE, N.M. — A group of New Mexico's civil rights, immigrants’ rights, and reproductive rights organizations will host an interactive virtual briefing on January 30 at 10:30 am to provide reporters with the context and connections needed to understand the privacy challenges New Mexicans face and effectively cover privacy legislation throughout the upcoming session.

Current proposed legislation protecting New Mexicans privacy is especially crucial because under the new Trump administration, there are increased concerns about digital surveillance, data sharing amongst agencies, access to reproductive healthcare information, and protection of immigrant communities' data.

Unlike a traditional press conference, reporters are encouraged to ask questions throughout the presentation.
